No one expected The Spanish Inquisition!

Calling an Estate Agent to register your details can be quite daunting, especially as they seem to ask so many questions when you call.

Let me help you understand why we ask these questions.

Estate Agents have the reputation as being the enemy and not to be trusted. However, in fact, it is completely the opposite (in most cases!!!).

The way we are buying properties is changing, most people do look on Zoopla & Rightmove to find their ideal home. Isn’t it frustrating when you find the perfect home online, only to find it has sold before you have even had the chance to view it?

(Insider tip: Did you know that buyers registered directly with us on our mailing list often get property notifications from us BEFORE they appear on the property portals?)

Life is busy, so let us help you. Why not share with us the story of why you are looking to move? It will help us, help you, find the right property. Think about what you want from your next property, why are you moving and future needs. Moving can be expensive, so maybe stretching yourself slightly for the right property, could save you money long term.

As Estate Agents, we help people buy and sell every day, it’s our job. We know the right questions to ask to help you find that perfect home to make your own. It doesn’t cost anything to register your details, maybe just 15 minutes of your time.

Registering your details with an agent is usually the first step of the process in buying a property. Isn’t it worth investing time to ensure they know exactly what you want?  After all, you wouldn’t skimp on laying the foundations of a house or getting the mixture prepared to make a delicious cake. The initial preparation is worth the effort for better results.

So, think of registering your details with an estate agent as laying the foundations for your future purchase. The more information you can share with us, the more likely you are to find your dream home. Do not think of it as over committing your information with estate agents, so that they can use it against you, rather the more information you are prepared to share, the more likely you are to find the perfect property for you. It is probably one of the few occasions when the saying ‘Less is more’ goes out of the window, share !! share !! share!!

What do we do with your information, once you have given it to us?

We NEVER pass on any of your information to a third party so you are not going to land up getting spammed left right and centre by other companies. With the  information we receive from you, we can match all your details to all properties that match your requirements.

Be open minded to other types of properties at the beginning of your search. You’d be surprised how many people are initially seeking a specific type of property, such as a 4-bedroom house but end up buying something completely different, such as a 3-bedroom bungalow with extra reception rooms, that can be versatile (that’s another story!!). I’ve actually done that myself!

Do not miss out again on your dream home, because you were too worried about chatting to your estate agent about what you really want and sharing too much information ….

The worst that can happen is that you receive one too many emails. The best scenario, you find your forever home. And, when your search is over and we’re handing you the keys to your lovely new home, you can rest assured that your information is safe and secure and you’re removed from future mailings (unless you tell us you’d like to ‘stay in the loop’ )

Go on , give us a call , have a chat, share your dreams and let us help you onto the next chapter in your family story.

Happy Hunting!
